California councilwoman faces DUI

California DUI criminal defense lawyer assistance

Woodside California Councilwoman Carroll Ann Hodges spent Friday night in the First Chance substance-abuse facility in San Carlos and had to take a cab home the next day -- the consequence of being pulled over by the California Highway Patrol and being charged with California DUI - drunken driving, California DUI lawyers learned.

Her car was stopped at 10:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, on Woodside Road just off Interstate 280. A California DUI breathalyzer test showed her blood-alcohol level at 0.12 percent, California DUI attorneys said. California DUI State law establishes intoxication at 0.08 percent or above.

Unless her California DUI attorney asks for a heairng within 10 days or by April 7, her license will be suspended; if so, she could apply for a provisional license in 30 days, California DUI lawyers note. Luckily, even if a California DUI lawyer loses the hearing, she lives within walking distance of the grocery store and Town Hall.

Ms. Hodges had been returning from a party in Palo Alto for Craig Britton, who retired as general manager of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. Her table at the party offered more varieties of wine than she was used to, California DUI attorneys are told.
