A middle-aged man faces DUI charges after arrested for allegedly drinking vodka from a flask while driving at about 4 p.m. on Monday in Tinley Park, Illinois.
Per drunk driving police, the man was stopped after another driver called to report a man weaving from lane to lane while drinking from a flask.
The 48 year old denied drinking alcohol, but when the DUI officer said he smelled like alcohol, a 6 oz. flask of vodka from the center console of his car was provided.
The man allegedly told police he sometimes drinks vodka while at work and while driving.
He refused to perform field sobriety tests or a blood alcohol content test because he said he didn’t think he would do well, criminal defense lawyers learned.
He said he didn’t believe he had a drinking problem, but sometimes he drinks while he is driving and while at work because of stress.
