Warning: San Diego California DUI Warrant Sweep today, lawyers remind

Saturday, June 15, 2013 Press Release:  Today, the San Diego Sheriff's Department's Court Services Bureau-Field Division conduct a California DUI warrant sweep, attorneys warn.

This California DUI warrant sweep will take place in the North County and South Bay region of San Diego County, say California DUI lawyers.

The San Diego California areas affected by the DUI sweep included the cities of Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside, Encinitas, National City, Chula Vista, and Imperial Beach.

The focus of the San Diego operation was on the apprehension of suspects with outstanding misdemeanor California DUI and felony Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Domestic Violence-related warrants.

36 San Diego California DUI warrants are to be cleared. This warrant sweep is funded by the Sheriff's Warrant System Automation Trust Fund. The trust fund is made up of assessment fees collected from people who have violated a written promise to appear in court or otherwise failed to comply with a California DUI court order.

The San Diego Sheriff's Department will continue its efforts in the apprehension of wanted subjects in California. Persons who have outstanding warrants are encouraged to contact their California DUI attorneys or turn themselves in Monday - Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at any one of the Sheriff's Court Facilities.
